End of Part 3 - The Milk Run - Cape Town to Nairobi

Well this is it! The end of the so called 'Milk Run', the end of the portion of Africa that most people have heard of, that most people are familiar with and that most people who have been to Africa have seen. And there is a good reason why most people have heard of or been to these areas of the continent: there are enough amazing sights around to spend a lifetime exploring. Of course we didn't spend a lifetime, just a couple of months but I'm not complaining because it was still an incredible experience.

As I said: West Africa was about the journey and the experience. Southern and East Africa is all about the sights and the tourist attractions and they are in staggering abundance. We've seen some amazing sights: Victoria Falls, the Okavango Delta, stunning mountains, vibrant and exciting cities, picturesque little villages and more. We've seen some utterly incredible wildlife: wild lions, hyenas, buffalo, zebra, hippos, giraffe, rhinos, thousands of flamingos, wildebeest, antelopes, an amazing family of friendly gorillas and even a leopard (for a split second). And we've all gotten close enough to these animals to almost be able to reach out and touch them! We're had some adventures, whitewater rafting on the Nile, scenic flights, bungee jumping and more. We've eaten delicious food, chilled out on sublimely beautiful beaches and met countless friendly and welcoming people.

So this was the Africa that all people who enjoy travelling need to see. It's not everybody’s cup of tea to go slogging across West Africa, not knowing what lies ahead but if you're ever though about visiting the continent but only have a few weeks to spare then Southern and East Africa is definitely for you!

So why not go and check it out?
